Hi All,

My question is about Tax Return. My cousin will be my co-sponsor. He is self employed and has more than enough income to sponsor me. He has not filed for 2012 Tax Return yet and has only 2009, 2010, and 2011 Tax Returns, so would it be ok to send only 2009, 2010 and 2011 Tax Returns ? :)

Thanks in Advance

Since the time to file a 2012 tax return has passed they will require the 2012 tax return.

They would like the 2012 tax return, and it will raise questions if you don't have it, but also on the other hand the due date just passed and many people do file for extensions for various reasons.

If you have it great, if not try to at least have something else and a very good reason why you don't have it.

Hi All,

I hope everyone is doing well. I have a question in regards to TAX RETURN. MY cousin is my co-sponsor and has has recently submitted the Tax Return for 2012. The automated service to request the tax transcripts is only allowing to get Tax Transcripts uptill 2011. My Case is with NVC and I am not sure if I should send all the documents that I have excluding Tax Return for 2012 since my cousin does not have it. Any advise is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

In the absence of a transcript for a tax year, you must send in the complete filing (copies of ALL forms and documents submitted to the IRS). That is what I did with my 2012 taxes (I submitted transcripts for the others) and everything went fine.
