Interview today and I was approved...

Anybody else had this happen to them? I had my interview this morning and she gave me the paper to tell me I passed and to wait for my oath ceremony letter. Now this evening I received an email that April 12,2013 they sent me a mail requesting more evidence and that my case will be on hold until they get the requested evidence back and let me know by mail what they did decide. This really confused me! Please help... anyone?

Don't quote me here because I have yet to go through the naturalization process myself, but it seems quite a few people get an "RFE" after a successful interview. I believe what it actually means is that your approval was put into the system, which at this stage triggers an RFE status on USCIS website. I think you'll get another message soon that says you've been scheduled for the oath with the letter in the mail soon to follow. Congrats!

Did you get the letter from Officer where it X marks and said that:

Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified when and where to report for the Oath Ceremony.

Yes i did miami boy. The N652 and that was ticked that i was approved. I am confused how come i got this email now asking for more evidence. She even told me to wait for oath letter.

I would say not worry about Online status and you'll receive another email where will say that your Oath letter in the mail soon to follow. oh also forget to mention that when you receive that kind of status, it means that you had correction in your N-400 application. Officer must corrected those Information before scheduling your Oath ceremony.

At your When Officer when over your N-400 Application, did you make any correction? or they might have find some correction on your application after review your N-400 Application. That could be reason you got status change. Its not big problem, give few days you'll receive another email soon.
