:help: I have heard mixed things about bringing children to interviews (our is AOS after K1 visa)--I have heard a definite yes if the children are biological children to both adults. In our case, this is my biological daughter, but not his. She lives with us, calls him daddy, and is very much attached to him. My only concern is that the interview is 3 hours away. if I bring her and she is not permitted entry (like they often do at embassies) we can't just take her home and come back... and she is 6 so she can't just wait outside or anything. I also don't want to leave her with family and have them wonder why the heck we didn't bring her.

Any words of wisdom? Should I just call and ask?

Thanks for your help!

In my experience at our local office there have always been kids in there with parents. They just need ID to enter with the parent.

the OP is talking about interviews / finger prints in the USA not in another country this is for adjustment of status not a visa.

Exactly, this is for an AOS. I have been reading more about people bringing their kids and I don't know if it's typical for children to be part of the interview if they are old enough to answer questions or not. I don't want it to seem weird if we don't bring her but I also don't want to find out they won't let her in...
