There is a pinned thread all about the medical. Jump in somewhere around here for experiences for the last year http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/8321-london-medical-knightsbridge-doctors/page__st__630 because some of the early posts are outdated.

Advice: get all the shots needed for AOS before you attend the medical.

My advice, as said before, get your shots done beforehand and try and chill out. I have massive white coat syndrome, but it was no where near as bad as I was expecting, despite my high blood pressure delaying the whole process a little. I was in the place for around 2 hours, no more than 15 minutes of this time was actually spent with medical folk.

As well as getting the required shots like other people have already suggested, you also need to bring reading glasses (if you wear them) for the sight test. I was asked to tie my hair back for the chest x-ray, the dr gave me an elastic band as I hadn't brought anything with me, so worth bringing a hair tie if your hair is long.
