Hi Everyone.

I have a dual citizenship. One where I'm studing and residing now-Ukraine(not allowed to enter US by Visa Waiver Program) and another -one of the European Union countries(allowed to enter under ESTA (VWP)). Now what country should I enter in my ESTA application? Another thing - in 2008 I was denied to receive entering US visa by US consulate in Ukraine (I had only ukrainian citizenship at that time). Do you think that will be a problem for me if I would try to visit my brother an mom (green card holders) this summer.

Thank you for your reply!

If it asks "Country of Citizenship", put whichever passport you plan to use.

I believe it asks "Country of Birth", as well, which would most likely be Ukraine for you.

ESTA is routinely denied when you have ever been denied a visa (regardless of citizenship). You have to answer "yes" to the question.

If you are denied, you will have to apply for a B-category visa at a US consulate.
