Hi everyone,

I'm filling out the I-130 form for my wife. We live in Kuwait and I have a APO AE mailing address. I am using a friends address in Texas as my residence. When I fill out the address can I use my APO address for my wife and I since we live here in Kuwait. I filled in my friends address in Texas where I intend to live. Is the I-130 form the only form that I need to send or do I need to send the G-325a also. Any help would be appreciated. My last question is would they mail forms to me here if I use the APO address.

If you're living abroad, I would use your foreign address unless you are absolutely sure mail won't arrive there (if Kuwait has a faulty postal service or something). If for some reason you don't want to use your foreign address, you can use the address in the States without a problem. To find which forms you need to send in the package, go to this link and read up.

Hey all,

I'm in the same boat as gabrielv here. What address should I put for myself? I am a US citizen and I own a home in Virginia, but I work on the army base in Kuwait, and live in an apartment in Kuwait. Should I put my VA address, my army APO address, or my Kuwait address?? oohpartiv, so should I be expecting to receive something via mail? Or will the paperwork be sent to the Kuwait embassy here? Thanks to anyone for the help!

If you put your foreign address, like I said, make sure it's one where you'll actually be able to receive mail. Here in Ecuador they don't deliver mail to your house - everything goes straight to the post office, and they don't even bother to let you know anything's arrived, so you either have to make periodic trips (where you demand they look thoroughly, since getting off their chairs is apparently really hard and they'll just tell you you have nothing without looking) or have a tracking number so you can know for sure when things arrive from abroad. Obviously in this situation a tracking number isn't an option. You'll receive snail mail correspondence from USCIS in the form of your NOA1 and NOA2, plus any RFE you might receive, so it's definitely important that you put an address where you can actually get to your mail. good.gif If you're confident that putting your foreign address you'll receive any foreign post just fine, go ahead and put it.
