Hi all, I know there are posts out there about this topic, but I am struggling and want to have this claryfied. I found some answers but none of them answered my question. I am currently working, but my last day at work is April 19th. We might have our interview for around July hopefully in Ciudad Juarez.

1)My question is on question 7 of the affidavat of support is says

--I am employed asor engaged in the business of....____________

what exaclt do I put down? Do I put down unemployed?

2)I do have my past income tax which transcrpit do I need?Do i put last years amount where it isays "I derive an annual income of"

3)Also as of my bank statement. I have not so much money in the savings only what is necessary. Do I type in what I currently have, even though we are using some money for the visa process and the amount might be less later on?

4)Also on question 11 about intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person do I check "intend" or " not intend" ? what about the cosponsor? which box do they check?

Thanks in advance for hte help I hope someone can help me out.

Hi, I can maybe help you.

1.) You should put "unemployed" if you are going be unemployed. I actually put down "none", it worked for me but I recommend you specify that you're unemployed.

2.) Yes, put your last income amount on that space. Make sure you show proof like a copy of your income tax.

3.) Yes, I suggest you go to your bank and ask for your bank statement. The amount there could be used and a copy of that statement to prove it.

4.) Don't check none of them. Just put "N/A (K-1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE)"

 Good luck!

1)My question is on question 7 of the affidavat of support is says

Yes, Unemployed.

2)I do have my past income tax which transcrpit do I need?Do i put last years amount where it isays "I derive an annual income of"

You will need your most recent tax return transcript, so 2012. Last years amount is not your current annual income. You will put $0 there if you are unemployed.

3)Also as of my bank statement. I have not so much money in the savings only what is necessary. Do I type in what I currently have, even though we are using some money for the visa process and the amount might be less later on?

You do not have to list savings at all. You can leave that whole part blank unless you are planning on qualifying with assets alone. You can list them if you like though. Just show the statements to prove how much you have.

4)Also on question 11 about intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person do I check "intend" or " not intend" ? what about the cosponsor? which box do they check?

Follow the example form here on VJ and check neither and put "N/A (K-1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE)" or you can both check 'Intend' and put "K-1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE" on the line.

Thanks in advance for hte help I hope someone can help me out.
