Hi all. quick question. I'm in the CR-1 process now and I'm not working. I've been to interviews but can't really take on a big commitment for a job since I'll be leaving my country once this process is over (which I pray to be soon). Does anyone know if not having a job is something the USCIS or NVC or whoever, cares about? does it matter for your approval? thanks!

For the beneficiary? It doesn't matter at all. For the Petitioner, without a job to make the minimum 125% in the guidelines it means assets and/or a joint sponsor.

Thanks NikkiR. Yes i meant the beneficiary, i know about the petitioner. Cool. I've noticed you are at the NBC too...we got oue NOA1 2 weeks ago and noticed we are at the NBC. hoping thats good rather than bad. How long did it take for your NOA2 to arrive? And did they notify u when they sent the docs to the local office? My husband is from Pennsylvania so im thinking our docs will maybe be sent to Philadelphia or Harrisburg...

Sorry, I have another quick question. Do both the beneficiary and the petitioner get NOA's through post? Because only my husband got one in the US, but I haven't. thanks

No.

The I-130 is a petition from the USC and only belongs to the USC.

Only they hear anything about it.
