Our CR1 interview is scheduled for March 19 at the Mumbai consulate. We have selected to pick up the passport at the Stanley office in Kolkata. Assuming the visa is approved, how much time does it generally take for the passport to be sent over? Is one week enough?

People from your country can give you a rough idea, but remember there is a possibility of being put in AP.

If this happens there is no guarantee, it could be a few weeks, months or longer. Best to keep any plans tentative until visa is in hand.

Best of luck!

To answer my own question: we got notified on the 21st that the visa had already arrived at the Kolkata office. So, it took exactly 2 days from the interview. Hope this info is useful as an estimate to others!
