Hello JV Fam.

let me explain my sitution first. my divorce has taken over a year to be final and today is the 6 month period from the time the degree was signed and sent to the court for the judge to sign. I have not recieved the divorve degree as of yet and it should be here in a couple weeks from what i was told.

So here is my question, i want to send some forms to my fiance to sign and date while we are waiting for the original copies to be sent to me so i can copy them to put into the I-129F packet, so can he sign and date them and send them back with the dates that are before i recieve my divorce degree? or should i just have him hold on to them and then have him sign them when i recieve it?

I just want to get the packet sent out ASAP since the waiting times seem to get longer and longer. We are so excited to get the ball rolling and get this over with so that we can be together.

I dread the waiting and have to draw on all of you to keep me positive. It is such a blessing to have you all here to help, so thank you so much in advance for your responses. :P

We suggest that you should wait for your divorce decree and then you proceed with your application.

You have to be free to marry on the date you sign the 129f form and mail it in.

I don't see an issue with your fiance pre-signing his/her documents and getting them sent to you to compile with the petition package.
