QUESTION REGARDING PICKING UP PACKET 3&4

Does Lagos need to confirm by phone or email that they have the packet? Or is having the USCIS letter and the NVC letter enough to send your fiance to Lagos to retrieve the packets? I sent Lagos an email last Wednesday including my NVC case# and I don't have a reply yet. I have the USCIS letter and expect the NVC letter on Monday. If I scan and send to my fiance, does he have enough to get the packet? Will they turn him away?

13 Nov 2006 Received NVC letter via Postal Mail

20 Nov 2006 Fiance went to Lagos Consulate- Interview Date Received

7 Feb 2007 Interview-VISA GRANTED!!! -

12 Feb 2007 Visa in Hand!!! ***Scheduled arrival 23 Feb 2007***

23 Feb 2007 Arrived JFK USA!!!

12 May 2007 Married

23 May 2007 Filed AOS

25 May 2007 Rec'd NOA1

I scanned my NVC and USImmigration approval to my finacee, she used it to get interview date. Once your information already loaded to their system, they would response to you right away.

I emailed Lagos too 3 weeks ago and it took them 2 weeks to get back to me, after they got my NVC.

Some consulates still establish conditional cases (pending receipt of file from NVC).... It never hurts to ask...

That letter and email is what I scanned to my husband. I also started calling the embassy immediately to see if they had recieved it. It seems that it shows in their systems after a week or so. My husband went every couple days though with the letter that I forwarded to him via email. Each time the guard would check then finally he was allowed inside to pick the packet. Congrats and good luck!!!

I just emailed the NVC letter that I got in the Mail to Justice and he picket up his packets with that. I emailed the consulate and after they emailed me back when our case was uploaded. He went and picked up the packets. No problems, but he did say that it took most of the day.

just tell him to go to the embassy here in lagos before 11.00am between monday and thursday with both letters.goodluck to you both.charles and renee
