Can anyone clarify about DHL Registry nr. Are you supposed to have this number before you go for your Interview or is this number assigned by consulate/DHL automatically after your interview to send your passports/documents.

I do not have any DHL registry number on my interview appointment letter. Some people who've been to their interviews in Montreal mention that they check your DHL registry nr before they let you in and that people have been turned

away who did not have them.

The appointment confirmation letter that I have is a print out from the VIS official website - there is no barcode or anything there, just a confirmation nr. and at the end the Loomis branch name.

You need the confirmation page with your DHL location and reference number for your interview. If not, you're not allowed inside.

This isn't given with the interview letter. You have to sign up yourself on the CSC website. Follow the instructions here: http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_courier_information (click the fourth option).

Thanks Saylin. Here's what I have on my CSC appointment confirmation printout " You have successfully scheduled an appointment bla bla bla...and then

in the 1st section - Appointment information - there's a Confirmation Nr : Can Mo 06 03 13 08 00 XXXXXXXXX

in the 2nd section - Applicant Details - my name and then Reference ID:XXXXXXXX

in the 4th section - Loomis Information - Loomis Branch : Burlington

As you said (click the 4th option) Register for Courier services - when I clicked there it changed to "cancel appointment" which scared the #$%& out of me.

I am completely confused...so do I have this number or...

Yes, you do. You obviously chose a DHL location as it lists Burlington. The reference ID is the number they need at the consulate. Print out that page to bring to the consulate.

Should look something like this (mine): http://s128.beta.pho...tml?sort=6&o=18

But if we aren't scheduling an appointment through that site, is it that we are registering for courier service ONLY?

For IR-1/CR-1, yes, you only sign up for courier service. But there are other visa applicants (K1s, for example) that do actually schedule an appointment through that site.

Hey there,

Okay, so DHL must now be LOOMIS as there is no DHL info listed on my information package.

I went here: https://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/ss_country_welcome

and created an account. I am a C-IR1 applicant and have an interview date of March 11, so I clicked the option for register only.

It said APPLICANT INFORMATION updated after I filled all my info in and there was a link at the top right for a "printable version". I printed that out and got a letter that looks somewhat like smurf47's.

Is this the ONLY paper I need at the interview?

Yes, DHL switched to Loomis months ago. I just still call it DHL laughing.gif

And yes, if you have something similar to my picture, then you're good to go.

And no, you definitely need more for the interview:

-interview letter

-DHL/Loomis confirmation page

-passport

-medical results

-2 passport pictures

-original AOS package (if you did EP)

-original IV package (if you did EP)

Bringing a copy of everything you've ever submitted would be a good idea as well. And don't forget to bring proof of relationship. Although Montreal typically doesn't ask for this, it's still a good idea to bring.

Thanks!

Oh, I meant was the LOOMIS paper that printed out the only thing I need FROM LOOMIS - not THE ONLY THING I need overall - hahaha.

The LOOMIS/DHL site wasn't the clearest of things to figure out. A little nerve wracking when it doesn't have a confirmation number on it. :)

I have everything we ever submitted in a file folder. :)

Good luck everyone.

Okay, phew! I thought you were a little crazy to be honest thinking that was the only thing you needed laughing.gif But yes, as long as the location branch and reference ID are listed on the page, that's the only thing you need for that.

And yeah, I remember that CSC site. I wasn't sure if I was doing it right at all as the instructions didn't match up with the screens. But, I saw the location chosen at the end, so that was that.

And glad you kept all the copies good.gif Every now and then I'll see someone who made no copies of anything submitted whatsoever and I'm just like blink.gifblink.gif

should I wait for my interview to be scheduled before I register foo Loomis? and instead of choosing a location can I have it delivered to me at extra cost? I know you have to pay $50 or something

I always suggest waiting until after an interview date is scheduled and your case has arrived at the consulate. And you can only choose to have it delivered once the package has arrived at the chosen location. And it's only $20. There's instructions on the CSC site on how to do this.
