I just got laid off from my job Suppose to get called back in a month or two , I have a co sponsor but just wondering if we have an interview before I get called back how much will this hurt our case?

well. start searching for a new job on careerbuilders.com and land something that will pay some

decent money. since you have a co sponser that is fine. but, you still need a job to take care of

yourself and your spouse. start applying for those unemployment benifits and hop back on track..

well for this area my job pays about top rate just going through a slow time right now

Sorry about the layoff. Be sure to get a few good letters of recommendation before you leave. You may have to get a stopgap job that makes you look good on paper when the interview comes. You can keep looking for the ideal job in the meantime. There are a number of folks here who are working at less than ideal jobs, knowing it's temporary and for the purposes of getting the visa. Even though there's a co-sponsor, it's best to rise to the occassion as best you can. Good luck on your search!
