Hi Guys

We've been very lucky so far...both I130 (7o days) and I129f (49day) have been approved and sent off to the NVC. We haven't had our next pack back for I130 yet...(3 weeks) and I129F has just been appoved so we wouldn't hear something just yet....so here are my questions that I would appreciate your kind advice on...

  • As we now have both approved do we have to choose which one to proceed with yet?
  • Should I call NVC about the I130 application as stilll waiting for next pack?

I know I shouldn't get excited but with both approved I'm starting to get a little tingle of excitement!!!

I'm off to cook Thanksgiving dinner for 16 of my US family in 10 days time...it would be nice to have the next pack to start filling in!!!!

Thanks for your help

Clare

Hi Clare,

As far as I know you don't have to choose now. A lot of people do both and wait until they have a better idea of which one will be finished quicker to decide.

You can call the NVC about the Affidavit of Support Fee Bill. I think that you can find out about your case using the case number on your NOA2.

Good luck!

Yes it is my understanding that since you have filed both you can just see which one coems through first. Some people i think go on the i129f and then come back for their cr1 interview. We left the i129 too late and went with cr1 which s you probably know is a better visa but usually slower to get. Good luck.

Since your 129F is approved, it looks like it will beat the CR-1 by a few months. Once it arrives at NVC for a pit stop, it is off to the consulate. Good luck.

Our I-130 actually caught up with the I-129 and passed it, so when my wife went to the interview it was her CR-1 visa. It has made our lives so much easier, now were just waiting for our change of conditions, which will be in 2007.
