Help!

I am making the packet of I-864 documents to send off on Thursday and just panicked I would get in trouble because I have not filed my 2012 returns yet. Is this mandatory, or should I just send in my current payment information?

No, your 2012 returns are not mandatory until after the deadline to file, April 15. I'd file asap though just in case the interview takes place after April 14, b/c then the CO might request them.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

thanks everyone! I am going to file an extension this year so I can wait on my husband to get assigned an ssn-- I'm in grad school and filing jointly will save us a ton of money, but trying to do the tax process and the visa process simultaneously is overwhelming! Given the way things have been going (which is good), we're hoping my husband will be here at least a few weeks before April 15!
