Hello..

I had my fingerprint done on Dec 31.. but still i have not heard about the interview date.

I plan on travelling overseas from March 6 to May 2.... If perchance the interview date falls in april, can I request the date to get extended? Is that possible?

Do you plan to travel or have to travel? USCIS will want to know why you applied and weren't around, do forgive emergencies. Could notify them, only address I know of is where you sent your application. From there it goes to Missouri someplace, then to your field office.

At your interview, your IO scribbles a name on it, can't even make that out, but tell you to contact your IO with any questions, but don't give you a phone number. If you call that general 800 number, tell you to go to the internet and check your processing dates that are never correct anyway.

If you are one minute late, can reject you, but its okay if you wait 3 1/2 hours in their waiting room, don't even dare go to the restroom, you may be called for that minute. By then, hafl braindead and really drill if you hesitate slightly to answer a question.

Would think twice before leaving.

you could rescheudle a reschedule but may end up regretting the long wait for another date IF it is granted. It may even stretch into a year. so like previous poster asked is your travel needed and cannot be postponed? what does your status say on the uSCIS website?you can check that using the receipt no you were given when u sent in ur application.

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!
