Being that we have our interview coming up instead of leaving Santiago extremely early I think it would be best to arrive the day before in SDO. Has anyone stayed at the Jardines del Teatro Aparta Hotel when they went for their interview in Santo Domingo? Please let me know your experience with this place. Thanks

I have stayed and will stay at "Plaza Florida Suites", which is half a block off from Bolivar Avenue. This is their info.

Calle Armando Rodríguez 203 Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, +1 809-412-1212

I'm staying there the night before the interview, that way we can have peace and quiet, concentrate on the interview and arrive relaxed.

An added bonus (acually the most important thing for me) is that I get to spend an undisturbed night with my lady.

This should be moved to the Caribbean thread because the OP is referring to a hotel in the Dominican Repbulic.

I have. I have nothing bad to say about the place at all. It's in a good area.1 block from the Consulate. Close to the subway and tourist sites. It's small, cozy, and inexpensive. They have free wi-fi. You have to buy and cook your own food. If you are looking for a hotel like the Marriott, with room service, it's close to the Consulate as well.

Read some reviews, many couples have stayed there.

Funny who should ask this question. I have also been asking my Dominican peeps where I should stay, and many recommened the Jardines del Teatro Aparta Hotel. This is where I will be staying. Many people that are going for their cita stay here, so they are pros at it. Ask for a woman named "Hilda" and tell her that you are from the immigration website and that the members recommended the hotel to you. You should be taken care of. The rooms go for about $60 a night. That is hard to beat!
