Document Intake Questions

My fiancé had her document intake today in Guangzhou and everything went smoothly but they didn't take all the documents I thought they would. They didn't take the Letters of Intent to Marry; the Evolution of Relationship; the second set of income documents for the I-134 (the instructions say to submit duplicates) or the second copy of the DS-156.

I'm not sure what to think of this but we'll take them back to the interview tomorrow in case they request them then. Or should I have her set them in front of the CO and ask them why?

Should I be worried?

Have her take all of the evidence and documents to the interview. They may ask for it. It is much better to have it ready for presentation then to not have it. Try to remember the CO is one doing the asking, not the other way around. :blink: Doesn't sound like anything to be worried about.

Have her take all of the evidence and documents to the interview. They may ask for it. It is much better to have it ready for presentation then to not have it. Try to remember the CO is one doing the asking, not the other way around. :blink: Doesn't sound like anything to be worried about.

Thanks, I figure the document intake person isn't the interviewer so there could be a difference of what they think is necessary. We just got up and we're doing our final review and going over everything one last time before we go queue up.

There's specific stuff they were taking, in the packet 3 list.

Anything else gets taken on interview day.

Bring all that wasn't taken on doc intake day, to interview day

and

VISA APPROVED !!!!!

My fiancée was one of the first ones called for an interview and was out of the building by 0845. What a pleasant surprise as I had planned for a long arduous wait.

She got a woman CO who was very pleasant and asked the following questions:

Do you or your fiancé have any children?

Have you ever been to America?

What is your fiancé's name?

How did you meet your fiancé?

When did you meet your fiancé?

How many times did your HUSBAND visit you in China? (My fiancée corrected her to "fiancée not husband)

Are you a member of the CCP?

What does your fiancé do?

We had made flash cards with every question we could possibly think of and practiced well into the night last night. I had made several with questions about me using the word "husband" and she quickly learned to be on alert for the tricky question. I doubted they would ask that but they did so it paid off.

They CO looked over my I-134 again and made some favorable comments about my income and then said,"You are approved!"

She gave her a white paper approval notice.

I'm still in shock how lucky we were being able to line up at 0700 and be out by 0845!

For us Guangzhou was a breeze plus the weather has been very comfortable.
