US embassy asked to resubmit passport

I recalled my passports for foreign travel 2 months back now US embassy has called me to resubmit my passport and also asked to be sure about passport not being expired.

Does it mean that they are about to stamp the visa? and if yes yes than how much time will it take to get my passport back ?

Is this for an H-1b? And were you told they had to do administrative processing?

If that's the case, then this sounds like they're ready to stamp the visa. How long it takes to get your passport back depends largely on what country you live in. I'd assume around 2 weeks.

Yes I filed H1b and it was under administrative processing.. Just wish to have it ASAP as its been a real long wait of more than a year. :|

yes it sounds like you are thru AP and they are ready to stamp your passport.

Some countries they can stamp and you can have your passport back within a week, it depends on what country you are from how long it would be for them to stamp your passport.
