Hello all. My fiancé and i talk literally everyday. She is a mexican national and I'm Hispanic so we both speak fluent spanish. We chat on Facebook, WhatsApp and Skype all the time but in SPANISH. Our spanish text is very broken because we use a lot of slang. So, my question is do i have to translate the excerpts of the conversation logs i am going to submit for the I-129F package? Could i explain the nature of our conversations in my relationship essay? Has anybody ever had an issue with this? Should we start speaking more formal with words spelled out instead of abbreviations? Im worried the the case officer reviewing our package won't be able to understand our conversations which basically evolve from us getting to know each other to the time we decided to get engaged and talk about our future. My fiancé speaks very little english which is why we chat in spanish. Thank you all in advance.

Hi!

The proof of an ongoing relationship is not that important on the I-129F package... the important thing is the proof that you meet within the 2 years prior to your application. Per my experience... we did not sent any conversation log... just a few pictures with description and copies of our boarding passes and passports.

Proof of an ongoing relationship is vital after that approval of your petition (which is also known as NOA2)... however, you do not have to submit conversation log... just chat logs that shows dates and time...

Hope this helps..

Thank you for your response. Im submitting them to provide a summary of our relationship evolution to establish a bonafide relationship. My fiancé and i have been together for about 6 months (yeah a little soon but thats love for ya) She's a friend of my family but thats besides the point i guess. Unfortunately i cannot travel to mexico so i can't provide passport stamps or airline stubs of me traveling to mexico. But it is unnecessary because she lives about to hours from my home town San Antonio, TX in Nuevo Laredo, MX. What I'm having her do is take a greyhound bus to SA and ill submit my airline stub with the bus ticket along with a picture of us holding the days news paper. I figure if they want me to prove we've met within the past 2 years a newspaper would do it. Can i get your opinion on that?
