We are scheduled for next month at 10:00 AM, for anyone that had a marriage interview for green card how long does the interview last? I heard anywhere from 15 to 30 min. Is that correct? Plus, do they take you at the exact time or make you wait? I heard they have you wait at least 1-2hrs before they take you for an interview? Is that correct? Im trying to figure out how long the process usually takes, from coming in the door to coming out. What were your experiences?

We had a short wait of maybe 15 minutes. The interview was probably 30-40 minutes with everything included.

Here are some reviews of the Chicago office:

first i want to say SRECNO!!!!

As for our interview--ours was at 7:15am...we got there super early we were among the first in to the door and through security. (they opened at 7am) so we went upstairs....met up with our translator and sat down.....not even 7:15 yet and we were called in...there were about 4 officers who came out at once and began calling names...there were probably only about 15 people in there.

We went in and were sworn in...she sat us down, asked for the ssn, work permit, asked for all of our IDs....and began asking us the normal questions pertaining to our file (about 3-4min) after she was done checking off the questions she asked him what my bday was and asked me his (which is funny because we have the same birthday lol one hes July 26th and Im July 27th) she chuckled that were only on day different in age and what a easy question that was. Then she asked our address and then asked to look through our scrapbook (that i spent hours and hours on I was proud of it) she went through all our pictures as if she liked looking at them (we had all of our several vacations in there) and asked us which vacation was our favorite she seemed to like the Disneyland ones and commented on my scrapbooking skills....we answered her that New York was our favorite (our one year marriage anniversary)and that was it....we didnt even need the translator (we had to get one because in our first interview my husband didnt understand the word 'espionage' and we were sent out and rescheduled and told to come back with a translator.....but hubby speaks great English that was just not a word we ever used..and the first interviewer seemed like a douche anyways and im glad we got the girl the second time she was so nice!!!)

Our interview was about 10 min if that.....I mean we were in and out so fast we were in the car at 7:30 exactly....

the only thing though that stressed us out was that we didnt get approved on the spot...she took his i-94 and said she has to review before making a decision.......but 5 days later we saw online we were aproved and now were just waiting for the GC in the mail!!!

GOOOOOD LUCK!!!!! Sve Najboje!! (P.S IM Bosnian-Croatian)

Our love began in 2010....our Journey in 2012 (January) and now we are at peace until 2014!
