should i sign the certificate of naturalization at the ceremony or i should sign it at home

It's really up to you. When I attended my ceremony, they told us to sign it at home so the signature would look better.

You sure want to read that certificate before you leave for any typos, walking out the door with one wrong letter will cost you 400 bucks and another up to one year wait. Sure wanted my wife and stepdaughter to sign that N-445 in front of an officer, but was told with both of them, when you get your certificate, get the heck out of here.

None of that fancy signature stuff, learn to write your name exactly like it appears on your certificate, it may be rejected by the DOS when applying for a US passport. But the same holds true when signing your US passport, you also do that a home.

This is not the time to get drunk or have a party, both my wife and stepdaughter have their own unique artistic signatures, made the practice writing there names, you only have one shot at signing it correctly. Or an invalid certificate with no green card. Also can't be nervous and no interruptions. Can only do it once and has to be done perfectly the first time. After you get your US passport, can bury that certificate.
