Not sure if anyone can answer this. I read the FAQ at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3739.html#Preparing_for_med_exam, and it states

to tell your medical examiner the date of your interview.

Does the interview have to be pending to do the medical examination? My Fiance will be visiting me in Brazil for several months, and the plan is to return to Ukraine just prior to

the interview. We would like to have her medical examination completed prior to her Brazil trip. Do they expire, or anything that I should be concerned about.

She is nervous about doctors in general, so doing the exam early on wil avoid stress later, as I am sure like anyone, she will already be nervous about the interview.

Most of our spouses got them done just prior to their interviews. You can check the embassy's web site for further. Check out some threads from your local Embassy.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

In Ukraine you must do the medical before the interview, but I don't know how long in advance it can be done. Follow the instructions here: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ukraine/895/pdf/k_instructions.pdf

Medical instructions here: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ukraine/895/pdf/Medic_imm_eng.pdf

The medical can only be done in one clinic in Kiev. You can have it done the day before the interview (you must make an appointment with the clinic). They do the medicals in the morning and give the results out the same day after 3 pm.

They do expire, but I assume they should be valid for at least a few months if you want to do it in advance. I don't know if the clinic will accept you before you have your case number at the embassy. Your fiance should just call them and ask.

It is required to have your medical results to give to the embassy at the interview, otherwise they will not give you an interview and you will have to reschedule.
