so could someone clarify this for me: when sending initial documents for AOS, i-130 and stuff, should i do a medical exam before that and send it with all the papers, or bring it to the interview?

im AOSing from f-1 visa, married to a US citizen.

the reason im asking is because i dont want to spend the money on the medical RIGHT NOW.

You can't go to any hospital or center to take your medical exam....find one that was designated by the USCIS

Sept.01, 2009.....biometric appointment

Sept.12, 2009.....rcved interview letter

Oct. 19, 2009.....date of interview....passed!!!!!

Nov. 18, 2009.....Oath Ceremony...yahooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

Start by reading the guides and the instructions on the medical - you can't go to just any doctor

You can't go to any hospital or center to take your medical exam....find one that was designated by the USCIS

You can find the list of designated civil surgeons on the USCIS site:

well, i know i can use only USCIS approved doctors, but there are a BUNCH in LA area, i was hoping someone would know a doctor that charges the least.
