Hi all,

We received an email containing checklist cover letter from NVC. It says the following:

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The NVC has received the information you submitted and placed it in your case file. You will be

contacted when your petition is sent to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for further processing.

[FCC 01/10/2013]

I am confused, why is a coversheet being sent out now? Our case was complete long ago and recently upgraded from F2A to IR1 and they are not asking for any new document. I don't know what to make out of this.

F2A

-----

10/29/2010: I-130 Sent

11/01/2010: NOA1

03/29/2011: NOA2

04/14/2011: NVC Case received

04/19/2011: AOS fee paid

05/07/2011: IV Fee paid

05/13/2011: AOS received

06/21/2011: Case completed at NVC

IR/1

-----

12/19/2012: Became US citizen and request sent to upgrade from F2A to IR/1

01/13/2013: Case completed (again!!)

04/02/2013: Interview (Approved)

I received the same email. It basically means your case was reviewed/updated and it is giving you the current status. If they wanted more documents they would have told you that something is missing. Basically just pay attention to the last paragraph. I received two checklist emails. The first was a request for police certificate. After I sent it in, I received a second checklist. The second was exactly what you received, which means they received my paperwork and updated my case.
