I am waiting for my passport to arrive from Montreal to Toronto.

How long does it take for them to issue the visa from the date I had my interview? and send it back to me?

Please share your experience.

There are a few threads on this....Some take a few days, some longer...some get the nice surprise that their case is getting looked at longer and delayed for weeks til months--Especially if u were not born in canada (or lived) in a country that i snot so friendly with the USA or a high fraud visa country.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

That's a million dollar question. Anywhere between 1 week and 1 month, unless you are in Advanced Processing, in which case, like Flames9_RN said, there is no way to know.

AOS from K1 completed February 2012

I had to send in documents after my interview as well and it took 4 weeks for them to mail me my passport back. Keep in mind that everything that goes through their mail room takes a couple weeks before it's processed. Depending how long ago you sent it (I can't tell as you have not updated your timeline), you might have couple weeks to wait still.

You should fill out your timeline so others can help you better.

It's been almost 2 months, correct?

I would definitely follow up on this. Have you kept in touch with Loomis? It's possible that they have had it all along and you were never notified. I'm not sure how long they hold it before they send it back to Montreal.

It's been 2 months since my interview but only 2 weeks since they got the document I sent them.

Any idea how I check if there's been any progress or if they issued my visa yet?

They only thing I actually know for a fact is that they received the document because they had to signed for it.

From what others have experienced, it takes about a month after sending in followup documentation before the visa is sent out.
