hi everybody i just have a few question before i apply for citizenship, im a us citizen spouse , we filed the past two years 2010 and 2011 taxes together but not the 2009 so do i have to send the copy of 2010 and 2011 taxes or 2009 too cause we didnt know nothing about taxes so i did seperate the 2009 cause i was working cash and i thought i didnt have to do it together. also i heard about selective service ...i entered the united states i was 35 years old so still do i have to registered for selective service cause i heard in the citizenship interview they ask about this ? and please what document do i have to send name all please thanks in advance guys

Hi Alijan,

I am on the same situation as you with regards to taxes. I filed a separate tax return in 2009 and then joint tax return going forward. What I included on my application package were the 2010 and 2011 tax transcript and then tax return for 2012. I am lucky enough to have all the information that i need for 2012 tax return so I prepared the return and included it on my package which was mailed last 1/3/13. I also plan to file the return on 1/22/13 so just in case USCIS need it during interview (3-4 months from now) i will have the transcript already.
