So this question is for Pakistani USC I-130 filers ONLY. I have read here that during the interview at US embassy in Islamabad they might ask if you have completed your "ruksati" now let's say if I did not then would it increase my chances to get rejected? Please advice.

Thanks

There is no way to tell as it depends on each CO doing the interviews. We did everything including valima and yet we are lingering in a very lengthy AP and there are some who never did the ruksati and got the visa within weeks after interview only to go back and finish the ruksati when the beneficiary moved here.

Just get as much ongoing relationship information together constantly so it's not something you have to put together right at the interview time. Make sure everything else is in order and if nothing else go back and do the ruksati just to finish the process before the interview if you would feel more comfortable doing so. I would actually go that route getting plenty of picture proof of the ruksati instead of taking a risk you have to do it after the interview instead.

Good luck to you

My wife was asked if all rituals are done... many people here who didn't do ruksati were told to go and do them and come back. But then i also know people here who were not asked that question. Do u want to take a risk and see if they dont ask your wife that question? i dont think its worth it. if you can, you should do and get the whole shadi done before the interview, so your wife can take the pictures to the interview and say yes all rituals are done.

I believe my wife had the easiest interview, but she was asked that questions. she was asked 4 total questions and this was one of them. I believe they will ask more people this question in the future.
