Hi,

I have been searching in the forums to find the most updated information on the differences between the DS-230 and DS-260. I did find some tips, but it conflicts with others I have read and screen shots that are online. The screen shots are great by the way! But I wanted to make sure that I prepare ahead of time with current info.

Has anyone recently gone through electronic processing that can help?

Thanks!

Here is a link for Saylin’s most excellent Montreal Wiki: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_for_Montreal_Beneficiaries_–_Electronic_Processing_and_New_Online_Forms

She has screen shots for you with regards to the electronic processing.

Good Luck!

Thanks! I read through that Wiki post too and took notes on the differences but then I saw at a later date that another VJ poster said that there were changes made since then. It is really a great post though!

On the later posting they listed a few of the changes- but it was over a year ago so who knows now? Mostly the differences were in regards to listing your employment background ( potentially for the past 10 years) and educational background.

So I am hoping someone has maybe done the DS-260 quite recently that could confirm? :)

You will also need to list your exact address for every place since age 16.

The 230 does not ask for exact addresses, only cities

Oh good, I started working on that just in case! Thanks!

Anyone know about how many past visits to the US you have to list? Is it really down to only the last 5 visits now? (On the DS-260 I mean).

And lastly, the previous employment list- do you still need all of them including DD/MM/YYYY for the last 10 years? Or is it true that they only ask for current employment information now?
