NVC, ""hang-ups"" !!!

Has anyone experienced any significant delays after the K 1 is forwarded to NVC, I am told I can get the MNL number.,.,.,.,which I am told is ""NEEDED"" before any medical/interview dates can be set.,.,in a week or two by calling the number I have..,.,.but how long until hard copy.,.,will be sent.,.,.can I pay extra to get e mailed.,.,.,.or is there anything I can do to get the MNL number???????????

Give it another week and you should get a letter from the NVC with the case number you need. Good luck!

Yup, I thought that I should start calling NVC to harrass them too...but thought, gosh it's the holidays and all and everyone is swamped. Without doing anything, I got a letter from the NVC about ten days after my NOA2 (saying your approved petition has been forwarded to the consulate) and after another week and a half, my fiance got his packet 3 from the consulate. It was fairly easy and breezy! Don't worry too much, things will be fine.

For your specific country, I think that once you get your MNL case number, your fiancee can schedule her medical appointment.

As previously advised, call NVC next week since you were approved by the end of '12. You should get the hard copy within next week as well. No you can't pay extra fee for it to be emailed, it will only be sent through post mail
