HELP - how many more passport photos do I need?

I'm on my way to get passport pics done but I am losing track of how many I need.

I know we need 2 for the NVC stage. Do we need 2 MORE for the interview?

Children need 1 for their medical. I will need 3 for my medical.

Are there ANY MORE necessary?

I don't want to go through this again if I don't need to and want to get it out of the way.

Help please I'll be checking answers from the car on my way there lol

I couldn’t see the requirement for more doing a quick scan of Saylin’s wiki.

I have read that there is a cheap photo booth in the Consulate so if you need more you could always get them there.

This already IS later in the process. That's why I'm asking.

I'm getting the final sets I need.

Saylin's post says 2 for NVC. I'm trying to figure out if consulate needs more. With me and 2 kids I don't want to have to buy more than necessary.

Well I think I got what we need. I got 3 "sets" which means 6 total for me. 2 for NVC and then 3 for medical with 1 leftover. The kids needed 2 for new Canadian passports and then 2 for NVC and 1 for medical so 3 sets with 1 leftover as well.

If I have to go get more I will get more.

I don't want to risk trying to do them on my own because it is so hard with the kids!

Just chatted with Saylin... we DO need 2 more for the interview BUT because as a Canadian I am opting to do electronic processing I will only be scanning one set so as long as my interview is within 6 months from now then I can just use this same set!

I've decided that the doctor needs our pics because they have a secret Wall of Fame where they post all of our pics!

I'm pretty sure they use all of these pics to verify your identity.

So you're not sending some joe-schmo in to take your medical.

Someone is probably going to look at all or many of the pics at some point and can compare them.

I agree completely. They need to compare and I'm glad they do. It is odd to me though that only 1 is needed for the kids at the medical and 3 are needed for me.

Less chance for fraudulent kids I guess.

They prob don't care so much about checking identity.

Maybe they attach a picture to each for they are required to submit in the envelope and there’s 3 forms for an adult and only 1 for a child??

That would certainly make sense.
