Ahoy there, i am slowly gathering with my wife documentation for my AoS and i am interested in few things.

My wife didnt file taxes for 2010 and i am abit woried how that can affect my AoS case?

Now, can i only send taxes and W2 for 2011 or i have to include past 3 years in AoS package aswell?

Would be cool if i could somehow send past year taxes only and to bring other two once my interview is scheduled.

Other thing that`s related to my(our) current problem is our joint bank account. She has account in Arizona Central Credit Union and they refused to include me on her account even tho she provided copy of my passport and other papers they asked. Now all of a sudden they are asking for my US ID (state ID) which i dont have. I`d like to hear any suggestions from you guys regarding this problem. What do you think would be smart to do now? Maybe open new account in some other bank and try to put my name on it or ?

Cheers

Are you filing for AOS after getting married on a K-1 visa? Why didn't she file for 2010? On the I-485 you can send only the last year tax return/transcript but they ask you for the amount of your taxes on the past 3 years.

Sent I-129 Application to VSC 2/1/12
NOA1 2/8/12
RFE 8/2/12
RFE reply 8/3/12
NOA2 8/16/12
NVC received 8/27/12
NVC left 8/29/12
Manila Embassy received 9/5/12
Visa appointment & approval 9/7/12
Arrived in US 10/5/2012
Married 11/24/2012
AOS application sent 12/19/12

AOS approved 8/24/13

No i am filing for AoS after getting married on B2, entered on J1 than extended to B2. I dont really know why she didnt file for 2010, asked multiple times but no reasonable explanation. Are they asking for the past 3 years to be with AoS package or i can only send last year? Cos we were thinking to file it with the past year and than send all 3 when we have it done.

edit: didnt notice anywhere on I-485 that they ask for taxes in past 3 years

I think this bank issue might vary from state to state. That being said, it could be that even if you opened a new account you guys would not be able to get a joint account. Maybe they don't allow this in your state while you are a "non-immigrant" but honestly, I have no clue. Maybe a new account would help, maybe it wouldn't. In my state, it is no issue at all, whether someone is on a B visa, or on a green card. As long as the couple have a proof of marriage (marriage certificate) they totally don't care....but it could be different by states. Can you apply for a state ID in your state? If yes, that would help...but again, maybe you cannot...I'm not sure...

Unfortunately i can`t apply for state ID yet. I was trying to apply in Illinois in late august/start of sept but the officials told me they`ve changed procedures (whatever that means). In Arizona i can apply only with valid visa and since i still have pending B2 application they dont want to issue it yet until i got final responce from immigration. This sucks to be honest....
