Hello folks,

I am U.S Citizen & my wife is the green card holder. Her card expired 6 months ago & we are on the pending list of " Removing Conditions on Residency" with Vermont Service Center .Our return ticket is already confirmed via Emirates Airways. We have received the 1 year extension letter & we have the expired green card also. I am wondering on our way back to the U.S will the customs at Bangladesh airport inquire about re-entry visa to US? My wife passport has the the CR1 expired visa stamp along with the expired green card & extension letter. We will also carry the biometrics appointment letter (wife took finger print already).

I have already asked the same question on another forum (Link Below) & got the answer as well but, I would like to know from someone's personal experiences traveling to Bangladesh with expired green card. Any feed back is extremely appreciated.

We were in the same boat a few years ago, the green card had expired with the ROC already file and waiting. So we made an appt to the INS office and recalled they put a stamp on the passport but don't recalled if it was 90 days or a year since we told them when and for how long we would be out of the country.

On the way back there was no problem at all, only show the passport and the expired green card
