the question that I have is...when I go to germany ( I will go for two weeks) and come back to the states....do I have to go back in this office where I had to go in when we initially came here. I just dont know how its called...the one where you drop of your immigration package...or can I just show them my permanent resident card and my german passport and just go about my way? I know I am probably not describing this very well...but :help:

hope somebody knows what I am talking about...

You can reenter the USA at any port of entry, all you need is your permanent resident card and German passport to re-enter. That is all.

One other thing, if name on passport and resident card are different (Married/Maiden) names, then having a copy of marriage certificate is a good thing to have to clear up why they are different.

Have a good trip.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
