Happy Holidays to Everyone!

Are there any restrictions for traveling to another country (in this case, Grand Cayman Island) for my spouse who has a US green card and Thai passport. Would she be flying as a Thai or as an American in terms of travel restrictions/need for travel visa? Also the passport has her maiden name and the green card her married name. Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

No visa required. You will need both her Thai passport and green card to enter.

you are resident in the United States of America; and you arrive directly from that country; and you produce on arrival a valid United States Alien Registration Card; and you produce on arrival a return or round trip ticket to the United States.

Your wife is a Thai citizen and a US green card holder. She is not an American until she obtains US citizenship.

Generally, she travels as a Thai citizen. Some countries will give her special considerations not normally available to Thai citizens by virtue of her being a US green card holder. This is the case for her.

Generally, you will get the best info from the State Department and the foreign country's embassy in Washington, D.C. Here is what I got when I used Google to search "Cayman Islands visa requirements" - http://cayman-islands.visahq.com/requirements/Thailand/resident-United_States/
