I remember one, it was like pulling teeth trying to get to the bottom of what actually happened.

Not sure if the questions were ever answered, I think I lost interest.

Yeah I can imagine that pretty easily given some of the threads on here :/

It's rare to self-sponsor so you're not likely to find much response from actual persons that did it. I remember two who posted in almost 5 years, besides the recent one. And now I know Boiler did, so four.

It doesn't surprise me that it's rare, but thought it couldn't hurt to poke around. I figure I'll post about our experience when the time comes just in case other people want to consider it as an option.

Originally I assumed that is what most people did, then it seemed it was not usual.

There is really no way of knowing, it comes up now and then so probably fairly common.

Most people I have actually met came over on the VWP, married and adjusted.

Everyone I've spoken to has come over on the VWP. One of my closest friends did so from France. Everyone was telling me just to do it that way because "no one ever gets in trouble", but my fiance and I decided we'd rather be safe and not risk it!
