I have gotten a lot of help here and so I just wanted to share the love too! There is an app that can be downloaded on your smartphone, iphone whatever phone lol...from google play, windows or whatever market you have called "SMS backup"...you will need to have a google account but what it will do is send all you text messages to your google email account and then wala! you can have them to print as evidence if you and your SO use text messages to communicate as me and my hubby do! I hope this helps someone God bless! :yes:

ps...wasn't really sure where to post this since I am on doing a CR1 I posted it here please feel free to share with those doing K1's etc...!

I don't see SMS backup in the app store (iphone). I really could use this. The screen shots / emails / printing of teh texts were my least favorite part of this whole process. Hope I'm just overlooking this app. Has anyone with an iphone found this?

HUSBAND'S CASE

9/17/2011 - sent I-13

09/19/2011 - noa1 received

3/16/2012 - case sent to my local USCIS office for additional processing

4/21/2012 - AP. If we haven't heard from them in SIX MONTHS (omg) we can feel free to call them!!! Thanks!

10/3/2012 - Interview went well but she must look at his A-file more before decision.

ok sorry I don't have an iphone but my phone carrier (tmobile) was the one that told me it was available for smartphone and iphone maybe they were mistaken or maybe it is called something else? did you just do a "sms backup" search?

the app for iPhone sms back up is "SMS Export" however it is $5.99 and you have to purchase the app in order to export your sms, believe me all the other softwares out there cost alot more, I spent hours searching for it last night and finally came across this one and succeeded, now I have all my text messages on the computer ready to be printed off. You have to download the softare on your computer, then purchase the app, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE WEBSITE WHERE YOU DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE FROM!! it was pretty easy! good luck :)

This is awesome I think alot of people are faced with this delima ... my I-130 petition was denied and that was one of the issues they found wrong. I only could give them the log of my text but not the text messages. so uscis did not accept the logs as proof. Thanks for tip :yes:

You are welcome! I was so thankful to have my phone company tell me this was possible. I wasn't acutally looking for it for the petition but I was switching phones and wanted my old messages moved over and they told me about this...and I thought ah ha this would be perfect for proof. Well hopefully this time around you will be good to go with this app! Merry Christmas!

What about the screen shots on i phone where the text pages are photographed and then you can send to email for printing off?

I am not sure if you are asking a question here or offering advice on what could be done with the screen shots but if it's a question then yes this would work and actually what I was going to do at first and then send each one to my email...it will work...time consuming but will work....and if you were offering the post as advice...great advice because indeed this will work for anyone as well :) Merry Christmas!

Thank you for the post, it was most useful.

I quickly downloaded the app. Configured it to do a backup every hour (will probably reduce this later), to save the backup on my external SD card, to upload a copy to my DropBox, to send a copy to my email. It did all that and I was abel to open the file in Excel and Safari web browser for printing.

PS: Thanks for the all your help, we got married at the same place in New Garage.
