Hello VJ, I have been following this site and its definitely been a source of support over these months. But I need to ask...

I applied for the K1 in July, but due to circumstances, I applied for expedited processing. I called, they gave me a letter in the mail. Followed the instructions, and now, a month later, I still haven't heard a decision. I called the national service center, they had no answer, I emailed the vsc and after a week, still nothing. I am truly at a loss for words when it comes to this process, I mean really, how can they do this to our families?

Anyways, without going on a rant, does anyone have any experience / advice with expedite requests that might be able to shed light on my situation / give me other potential follow up options? I really need some kind of answer, as my case is time sensitive (obviously since I applied for the request in the first place :P )

What are the reasons that you gave for an expedite. According to the USCIS guidelines there are very few that qualify. If you don't qualify, I can see them not in any big hurry to tell you that.

When my husband and I sent our expedition application, the process generally went like this: We made phone call and asked for expedition. After about one week or so, we received the letter demanding for the reasons for expedite. And we responded within few days by sending back to the assigned address about our reasons and statement about it. After that, we just waited patiently. And it all together took closely four months before I got my GC. That's so far what I can recall. And I come to understand later that it will take between three to six months to get AOS done for alien marrying USC. Hope you will get your case finished soon.

But his question is about expediting the K-1 process, not AOS.
