Hi, All!

I'm a little late getting this post out, but here goes. My name is Meredyth, I'm the USC in this relationship, and I am married to Brendan. We met in London in 2005 and started a long-distance, email and chat relationship. That lasted until 2006, when we lost touch and went our separate ways. We reconnected unexpectedly in March 2009 and saw each other again in October 2009, when we met up in London again and traveled to Wales, Scotland, and Belgium. Brendan came over to the States and met my family in February 2010, I went back to see him in Ireland in July of that year, met his folks, and he proposed while we were in Rome on a long weekend during the trip. Plans commenced for me to move to Ireland as a graduate student, with plans to marry in Ireland in March 2012. I was accepted at University College Dublin and went over for the summer in May 2011. In late June 2011, we found out we were expecting a baby. So plans for a spring 2012 wedding were scrapped, and we eloped to Edisto Beach, SC in July 2011. Six months later, after a scare at 17 weeks, me being hospitalised with pre-eclampsia, and an emergency C-section a month before my due date, our sweet Sophie Louise arrived at 4 lbs, 9 oz. and 17 inches. We have been living in Co. Kildare our entire marriage, but now feel that life in the States would be better for our little family, so we started our journey in November of 2012 and are hoping to spend Thanksgiving of next year with family in South Carolina. Good luck to all of you on your own journeys!
