This site has been so helpful to us on our journey. We filed in June and received a RFE this week. Fortunately, it was just a dumb oversight on my behalf. I failed to fill out whether or not I had been convicted of domestic violence, etc. The answer is "no" so all I have to do is check "no," sign, and mail it back.

My question is about the potential of future RFE's. Have they looked at our file and only found this to be lacking? Or is it possible that they could send another RFE as they continue to go through the file?

Thanks for your responses.

They usually try and ask for all the missing information in one RFE, but it is not unheard of to get more then one RFE.

When you go and examine the complete copy of your petition which you made prior to mailing it out and comparing that to the Example Forms and look at the attachments you sent versus what you have learned from what others have sent in, can you find any other omissions or errors? You should be able to answer your own question.

Good point. I have just read that several couples had to provide more evidence of meeting within two years or different forms of birth certificate, divorce certificate, etc. My hope is that they found the rest of my file sufficient, and just needed me to correct the one oversight.

Thanks.
