I called the uscis today and asked about my EAD , I know it has been only 2 months that I applied, but it is pissing me off staying at home doing nothing!!!

So the customer representative said that they still processing it but he would send an email reporting my case, because I need my EAD to work. So he said I can hear anything any day but it will take UP to two weeks from now... and gave me a number like WTC**********MSC .... have anyone here being through this and now what I am talking abt? does it really help and speed up? :S

Like you said..it's only been 2 months. these things can a bit longer. You should have it in another 3-4 weeks, hopefully. Have you considered some volunteer work in the meantime? Great way to meet new friends and help people.

Your only bet would be an infopass appointment and show up with a letter from your employer saying you can start at a date in the near future. That gives you a reason to get EAD approved faster however no guarentee that you'll actually get it expedited. But employers aren't always willing to wait along time for you to start.

I'd suggest volunteering if you're tired of staying at home.
