Im trying to book an Certificate of Birth Abroad appointment online in manila for my baby girl's next CRBA appointment, but it shows there booked solid till april, what do i do? Is there anything to do? What kind of dysfunctional set up would they have that's booked months in advanced? My wife has her CR1 visa appointment in 2 weeks and im trying to book an appointment to show that although she did not book an appointment for our baby b4 her visa interview that she is at least trying.

P.S. i will not be there with her due to work, is that going to be a problem?

i filed for CRBA for our baby a week after my K1 visa interview. i think we just got lucky because few minutes after i got our November 14 appointment, when i check again for an earlier date, the next schedule was january 2013. sometimes, others would cancel their crba appointment, so just try checking every now and then.:) I used my baby's crba appointment letter as one of my proofs for my interview. you can set the crba appointment for april 2013 and print it and just cancel it when you see an earlier date. it's ok if you wont be able to accompany your wife on her CR1 interview. i went to my interview without my fiance(US citizen) even if he's been living here in philippines with me and our baby. but it's better if you will be able to be there on your baby's crba appointment.

good luck and God bless! :)

Agree, with the above in bold.

Please be aware that you must have a separate appointment slot for each of your children for whom you are applying. The children may be scheduled on the same date as long as each child has his/her own slot and individual appointment confirmations. As there are many people seeking appointments, we ask you to please cancel your appointment if you will be unable to come to the Embassy.

Please make only one appointment for each child - the Embassy will cancel all but one appointment for people who reserve multiple appointments for the same child and will cancel all subsequent appointments if you do not show up for an appointment. http://manila.usembassy.gov/service/citizenship.html
