When asked where somebody lives, answer with the address where they live today.

thank you for your answer, I want to know about the I-864 when they ask about the place the petitioner resides in should we write the one in America???

Here's what I did (I-864):

1. Mailing Address: Permanent address in America

2. Place of Residence: Egypt because that's where I'm currently living

3. Country of Domicile: United States (then your wife needs to prove that she maintains a home in the US...if you need to know how to do this, read the I-864 instructions (pdf) and it tells you what to send to prove this. It will also tell you step by step how to answer each question on the form)

This is the correct answer. The first thing you have to do is understand the question, then make certain you answer it truthfully and accurately.
