Answers will be greatly appreciated for the following questions...

1: After you have filed tax return with IRS & u get tax return 1040 & lets say...if you owe any money to IRS, do u have to pay the money 1st before applying for visiting visa?

2: Can conslate find out if u haven't paid the money to IRS?

3: if you make a payment plan with IRS...Can conslate accept the payment plan with IRS?

4: Can a person sponsor someone for vsisting visa If the he(the sponsor) made the money below poverty line but has over $5000 in account & have filed tax return with IRS...

any idea?????

I don't believe that sponsoring someone for a visitors visa is possible - they are required to have significant ties to their home country and these can be financial, but I don't believe that one has to show monetary assets in order to get a B2.

clmarsh,

On the contrary, financial sponsorship of a B-visa applicant is one of the few things that a second-party can do in support of the application.

People tend to overlook it, but inability to afford the visit that they propose is close behind 'lack of ties to the home country' as a reason why B visas are hard to get in many countries.

1. I'm not sure exactally what you were asking......I owed last year, did not pay by the April deadline, and still sponsored my husband. I don't know how this works with a B visa though.

2. They probably could find out, but it never became an issue in our case.

3. I eventually made a payment plan and it was never an issue.

4. I didnt realize a sponsor was necessairy for a B visa.

Really Yodrak, that's interesting. Someone was posting about a letter of invitation for someone applying for a B2 recently which was shot down as an idea, and I had assumed that an offer of financial support would be taken in the same way.
