K1 AOS forms - use married name? I-94 expired.

Hi,

I want to ensure all my forms are correct before sending.

I am to use my new married name on the forms as this is the name I want on the Green Card, correct? I had already received my SSN in my unmarried name.

Part 1 - Information About You. Current Visa Status - is this K1 visa? and the expiry date is for the K1 or I-94?

Should I be concerned regarding the expired I-94? It seems a common occurrence, with the advice being just apply as soon as possible. I really wasn't aware of it's expiry date at all.

Current status is "K-1" with the expiry date on the I-94 (the K-1 visa itself is void the second you enter the US).

You use whatever name you are going to be using now you are married, whether that is your husband's surname or your own maiden name (the choice is yours). If you are going to be using your husband's surname, ensure you enter your maiden name on the "other names used" section.
