I am a doctor and completed my MBBS in India ,my wife is a citizen and applied for my immigration ,currently I am at the stage where I am required to submit my civil documents along with form DS230 .

My doubt is about Q40e where I am required to check a yes or no box beside a question which reads that " an alien who seeks to enter for the purpose of performing skilled or unskilled labor who has not yet been certified by the secretary of labor: a foreign medical graduate who is seeking to perform medical services who has not yet passed the NBME exam or equivalent.

I have not given my exam yet and intend to give it after I join my wife there ,does that mean I should tick YES.if I do so it states I am ineligible for a visa.please help me out as I am confused.should I tick NO??

Tick no. Also on #32 when asked the occupation in which you intend to work, answer "To Be Determined". You are not seeking to perform medical services. You are seeking to unite with your spouse. Whether you will ever perform medical services is to be determined AFTER you enter the USA and fulfill the necessary requirements to do so.
