Hello everybody .. i'am working on my 1-864 forms .. pretty much done but i'am confused with question #25 Federal income tax return information. i don't know what to put as my income for 2010 and 2009 i have all three years tax transcript but the federal tax for 2009 and 2010 were filed jointly with my ex- wife and the income listed on the transcripts is total of what we both made in each one of those two years .should i just put whatever total on the tax transcript even if it does not reflect the actual income that i have made then or try to come up with an estimate for how much i made . also i don't know if i should send transcript for 2010 and 2009 because it has my ex-wife name on it and i don't know if that will cause confusion to the officers reviewing my case at the NVC . last question i have is regarding part#5 question 21 Sponsor's household size. I did not include my wife there twice , i live alone here in the states and my wife lives in Egypt , would she still be in my total household even if she does not liv with me in the same house name ? the total household size i put for this question was 2, did i do this right ?. help appreciated from anyone .

Yes you will want to use the joint transcripts from 2009 and 2010. You might want to include a letter of explaination of your income. Whats important is that you earned more than $18,912.00 each year. Household is 2 (You & She)

wait , this amount is only required for the most recent tax year only and not for all three years right ?

I researched VJ and it says for CR1 you can use the recent tax forms, with W-2's and a letter from employer. Soon someone will chime in that is CR1 to give you better advice than I can...Good Luck

Actually that's the amount of current income required. You are not required to have earned any specific amount in the past. If using "tax return transcripts" state past income from the line called "total income". You will also state your current income which could bear no resemblance to any prior tax return. You'll document your current income with a pay stub and/or employer letter.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
