Hi Guys!

I would like to ask for some advice here, it's the best information place I have found so far! I could not find an answer for this question anywhere and was hoping somwbody else that was in the same situation could help me.

I was born in Puerto Rico, which is a Commonwealth of US (US territory) and we are born as US citizens. On the Affidavit of Support, question 2 "That I am XX years of age and resided on United states since (date)" What do I answer? I know it seems like a dumb question, but I have been living @ Missouri for 7 years and was born and raised on PR. Should it be the 7 years in Missouri or Puerto Rico counts as the US??? I am so confused!:help:

Could somebody help me? I would hate to be denied for such a silly thing.....

Thank you!!! :energetic:

Timeline

According to the poverty guidelines form I-864P Puerto Rico is counted as one of the states along with the District of Columbia, so count the time lived in Puerto Rico as time living in the States.

They are asking how long you have live in the United States, which includes the territories, the territories are U.S. soil. Same thing could be considered if someone lived in Washington DC, they would still count time lived in that city as time in the states, even though they don't live in a state.

I hope that clears up the confusion.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
