I saw following update on my case status.

On October 25, 2012, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview.

I am in Chicago, Illinois applied with USCIS

P.O. Box 21251

Phoenix, AZ 85036

How long it will take for me to get an interview date. I already have done Biometric. Does it now mean that my application has passed name check or still they will have to do name check and again a delay.

Any detailed response will be highly appreciated.

Thank You.

Go to the thread that represents when you filed the N-400. In there are a score or more people, some probably from Chicago, who are waiting like you. Their wait times can help you estimate yours. Ours was about 1 month from being placed in line: although it does vary significantly among Service Centers, I would expect for you to wait at least a month.

For Chicago, average time from filing the application to interview is about 4.5 months and interview letter is usually sent about 5 weeks before the interview.
