His deductible is higher, I believe its about $1500, because it's a high deductible PPO. He works for the govt (FAA) so probably doesn't have to pay as much as someone else on the same type of plan. There are advantages to working for the government in the USA obviously. I don't think he fully understands the plan either so it could be the blind leading the blind here. I believe it's the HSA plan that another poster mentioned? I'll look in on it. (so confusing... wacko.gif)

He was USAF for 8 years, (his entire adult life) and everything was covered by them while he was in the AF. I'm proud of him for serving even if i wasn't with him at the time. He is too. :) Also he did grow up fairly poor too so it wasn't like he had experience with things like this growing up either. He literally did not see a dentist until he was an adult and in the AF. No worries though, we'll figure it all out. :)
